NATURAL HABITAT- The Alexander palm naturally grows in the northern costal forests of Australia.
CHARACTERISTICSThe Alexander is a tall slender palm very similar to its close cousin the Piccabean palm. The palm can be grown both in small clusters and as singles. The trunk is a grayish color with very noticeable leaf scares. The crown shaft is a variable green to greenish yellow color. The leaves all grow on a single plain and tend to stay vertical without dropping past the beginning of the crown shaft.

ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS The Alexander Palm likes a lot of water and can handle either full sun or full shade. We recommend growing them in a mix of sun and shade where they will get plenty of water.
GROWING TIPS- These palms are very hardy and are easy to grow. The Alexander is great for a new hobbyist or someone looking for a nice tree for their yard. They are also fast growing and like a lot of fertilizer.
